Carolin Mann-Bomar, MS, LLP - Clinical Psychologist

Hi, I’m Carolin. I’m a clinical psychologist and operations manager at Thomas Park MD & Associates.

My fancy professional bio is down below but practically, I’m a warm, compassionate person who thinks

  • hard work is fun,
  • laughing and crying are both useful,
  • and our therapy/training/mentoring will include all of it: hard work, laughing, and crying.

I know a lot about a few things: psychology, trauma, resilience, burnout, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure therapy, neurocognitive treatment, and intentional living.

More importantly, I’m on a journey just like you. I have struggled in my life, my family, my marriage, my parenting, and in my job.

I have yearned to know more, feel better, and show up steadier for the challenges of life.

Markeis Burch, MA, BCBA, LBA - ABA Program Director

After graduating from Michigan State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I knew my passion was to enter into a field to support and inspire others; standing by while someone was in need was never an option I considered growing up. I entered into the field of ABA as a Behavior Technician.

Six months in, I knew I wanted to pursue my Master’s in ABA. I attended Western Michigan University and graduated in 2018 with my Master’s in Applied Behavioral Analysis. I have been Board Certified since 2019 and have moved upward in roles from Behavior Technician, Supervising Clinician, Clinical Director and eventually Program Director, meaning I have both the gained knowledge and experience to offer the support for the families and staff I work alongside.

I have resided in Michigan all my life, living in different cities across the state from Lansing to Canton, and many cities in-between. While softly spoken, I describe myself as having a compassionate nature and a will to support others in need. This offers me an endless drive to help individuals accomplish their goals. I have a passion in learning about the latest interactive technologies, especially with computers and gaming platforms. I enjoy traveling to new destinations across the country and cooking for my family. Being a young professional in the clinical field, I feel enthusiastic when I can present our staff and families with opportunities to learn something new.

Problem-solving is a personal strength, so it was only natural to fall into a science-driven field such as ABA. My passion and skill within ABA ranges from reducing problem behavior by teaching effective and functional communication skills, to teaching families new skills to assist with daily challenges. Most importantly, I feel a special connection with the community I serve as I naturally understand the needs of our families here in Metro Detroit. I believe the best supporters are not the ones who have all the answers, but the one who are willing to help others find all the answers. I value working together as a team to accomplish a shared goal.

Sean Haddix, MA, TLLP - Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist

I started my journey in the mental health field by attending the Michigan School of Psychology, where I earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Here I developed both Existential and Humanistic modalities with regard to therapy and treatment. I believe in treating the whole person and helping clients reach the peak of human experience, striving to achieve their greatest potential and becoming self-actualized. With regard to treatment, I utilized introspective questions, to bring about self-awareness into the nature of life stressors, as well as past traumas, which are negatively impacting their current mental health state. Typically, I work with those who are experiencing problems such as ADHD, Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Family Conflict, Life Transitions, Relationship issues, and a wide variety of other life stressors.

I have always worked in some aspect of mental health. I have previously worked at multiple assisted living facilities and group homes as a direct care worker. I worked in this field for about 7 years before finishing my education and becoming a clinical psychologist. All my life, I was always that person that people felt comfortable talking to, as well as seeking insight and wisdom into their problems.

On a personal level, here is a little bit about me. I am a nerdy guy, who plays board games, card games, miniatures, tabletop role-playing games, and video games. I am an avid concert-goer and surprisingly, a bit of a dancer. I am also a bit of a horror, sci-fi, and B-movie buff.
